Dash cams are designed to record your drive, but did you know that the BlackVue DR770X-2CH LTE can also monitor your vehicle when you’re not around?

BlackVue’s unique Intelligent Parking Mode is ideal if you worry about hit-and-runs, theft or vandalism while your vehicle is parked and left unattended.

The DR770X-2CH LTE automatically switches to Parking Mode when the ignition is switched off, and will continue to monitor you’re your vehicle, recording and storing events for review later – or alerting you in real time via the BlackVue App. Video buffering ensures that your camera will also record the seconds leading up to the event, ensuring you have the whole picture.

For extended recording times simply add a Power Magic Ultra B-130X or B-112 battery.

The DR770X-2CH LTE supports two Parking Mode options, Motion and Impact Detection, and Time Lapse.

Motion and Impact detection mode uses your cameras image sensor to detect movement, and the inbuilt accelerometer/G-sensor to detect bumps or impacts. To reduce the number of unwanted recordings triggered by motion and movement, the DR770X-2CH LTE can specify areas to ignore, eliminating recordings triggered by things like swaying trees, far-away moving objects, etc.

In Time Lapse mode, to reduce the size of the video files and save SD card space, the camera will continuously record at just 1FPS (one frame per second), rather than the standard 30/60 FPS. All event clips however are recorded at full resolution and 30FPS. A standard 64GB microSD card can store over 48hrs of time lapse video at the highest (Extreme) video quality level.

The Power Magic Battery B-130X is an advanced mobile power source that charges when the vehicle is running and provides continuous 12V or 24V power when parked overnight.

When the vehicle’s ignition is switched off and the car is unattended, the BlackVue dash cam will automatically enter Parking Mode, monitoring events and only recording footage when triggered by motion or impact. The B-130X uses LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) technology and can withstand extreme temperatures, go through more charge cycles, and is kinder to the environment than a traditional Lithium-ion battery.

The Power Magic Ultra Battery B-130X can be installed in two ways:

Simple Installation: Just plug the B-130X into the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle. It will charge in approximately 80 minutes.

Hardwired Installation: For the fastest charging speed, connect the B-130X to the vehicles electrical system. It will charge in approximately 40 minutes.

Battery Manager App

The BlackVue Battery Manager app for iOS & Android is available free-of-charge, allowing the user to visualise the status of the battery.

When charging, the app displays the charge percentage, charging voltage and the time remaining until full charge is achieved. When the ignition is off, the app will display the amount of time left in Parking Mode before depletion of the battery, based on the current power consumption of the dash cam.

Thanks to in-built power management circuitry, the DR750X-3CH will ensure that your camera will never deplete your vehicle’s battery when operating overnight, switching-off should the car’s battery level drop below a pre-set level.

For extended recording times simply add a Power Magic Ultra B-124X or B-112 battery.

The DR750X-3CH supports two Parking Mode options, Motion and Impact Detection, and Time Lapse.

Motion and Impact detection mode uses your cameras image sensor to detect movement, and the inbuilt accelerometer/G-sensor to detect bumps or impacts. To reduce the number of unwanted recordings triggered by motion and movement, the DR750X-3CH can specify areas to ignore, eliminating recordings triggered by things like swaying trees, far-away moving objects, etc.

In Time Lapse mode, to reduce the size of the video files and save SD card space, the camera will continuously record at just 1FPS (one frame per second), rather than the standard 30/60 FPS. All event clips however are recorded at full resolution and 30FPS. A standard 32GB microSD card can store over 48hrs of time lapse video at the highest (Extreme) video quality level.

POWER MAGIC ULTRA

B-124X BATTERY

The Power Magic Battery B-124X is an advanced mobile power source that charges when the vehicle is running and provides continuous 12V or 24V power when parked overnight.

When the vehicle’s ignition is switched off and the car is unattended, the BlackVue dash cam will automatically enter Parking Mode, monitoring events and only recording footage when triggered by motion or impact. The B-124X uses LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) technology and can withstand extreme temperatures, go through more charge cycles, and is kinder to the environment than a traditional Lithium-ion battery.

Dash cams are designed to record your drive, but did you know that the BlackVue DR750-2CH LTE can also monitor your vehicle when you’re not around?

BlackVue’s unique Intelligent Parking ModeParking Mode is ideal if you worry about hit-and-runs, theft or vandalism while your vehicle is parked and left unattended.

The DR750-2CH LTE automatically switches to Parking Mode when the ignition is switched off, and will continue to monitor you’re your vehicle, recording and storing events for review later – or alerting you in real time via the BlackVue App. Video buffering ensures that your camera will also record the seconds leading up to the event, ensuring you have the whole picture.

For extended recording times simply add a Power Magic Ultra B-124X or B-112 battery.

The DR750-2CH LTE supports two Parking Mode options, Motion and Impact Detection, and Time Lapse.

Motion and Impact detection mode uses your cameras image sensor to detect movement, and the inbuilt accelerometer/G-sensor to detect bumps or impacts. To reduce the number of unwanted recordings triggered by motion and movement, the DR750-2CH LTE can specify areas to ignore, eliminating recordings triggered by things like swaying trees, far-away moving objects, etc.

In Time Lapse mode, to reduce the size of the video files and save SD card space, the camera will continuously record at just 1FPS (one frame per second), rather than the standard 30/60 FPS. All event clips however are recorded at full resolution and 30FPS. A standard 32GB microSD card can store over 48hrs of time lapse video at the highest (Extreme) video quality level.

POWER MAGIC

Pro

Power Magic Pro allows your BlackVue camera to continue recording when the ignition is off, while protecting your vehicle’s battery from being depleted.

Power Magic Pro powers your BlackVue in Parking Mode using your vehicle’s battery, while advanced power management circuitry ensures that your camera doesn’t deplete the vehicle’s battery when operating overnight. Power Magic Pro has a pre-set voltage cut-off level which prevents your dash cam from continuing to operate if the vehicle’s battery drops below a safe level.

COMPATIBILITY:
Power Magic Pro is compatible with DR750X-2CH LTE, DR750-2CH LTE, DR750S, DR900S, DR590, DR590W, DR650S, DR650GW, DR450 and DR430 models.

PLEASE NOTE:
BlackVue X Series models (DR77X, DR750X/DR970X/DR900X/DR590X) feature integrated power management circuitry, which can be configured in the BlackVue app, and do not require a Power Magic Pro for Parking Mode operation.

Power Magic Pro includes a convenient ON/OFF switch, providing two modes of operation as follows:

Parking Mode Switch ON: Power Magic Pro supplies your BlackVue with power even if the ignition of the vehicle is turned off, until it reaches voltage cut-off or timeout value.

Parking Mode Switch OFF: Power Magic Pro supplies power to your dash cam only when vehicle ignition is on.

Power Magic Pro allows you to configure both timer and voltage cut-off values. Power Magic Pro will cut the power to the BlackVue based on both Timer and Voltage Cut-off value, whichever comes first. The timer can be set from 6 hours to infinite.

In addition to the timer, Power Magic Pro lets you set a voltage cut-off value. As soon as the voltage from your vehicle’s battery drops to the cut-off value, Power Magic Pro will stop powering your dashcam, thus saving your battery.

Settings

You can configure Power Magic Pro to supply power to your BlackVue for a preset duration, from 6 hrs to 120 hrs, or alternatively, an unlimited time period. The timer function is only active when the vehicle’s ignition is off and automatically stops if ignition is on.

Regardless of the timer setting, the power is cut as soon as the voltage drops below the configured voltage cut-off value.

When vehicle’s ignition is off, Power Magic Pro checks your vehicle’s battery voltage periodically while powering your BlackVue. If power drops below the set cut-off level, Power Magic Pro automatically cuts power to the dash cam, thus saving your vehicle’s battery life.

Installation

Installation of Power Magic Pro should be carried out by someone who has experience of auto-electrics. Power Magic Pro must be hard-wired into an ignition (+) circuit, a battery (b+) circuit and a ground (-) circuit.

Most BlackVue dealers offer or can recommend a quality installer that can install Power Magic Pro for you (and/or your dash cam itself), allowing for a discreet installation where cables etc. are all hidden from sight. A video installation tutorial can be found below.
